JOSH RUSSELL: PERFORMANCE COACH

Josh Russell - Performance Coach, Personal Trainer
Joshua Russell, a former collegiate athlete with a background in sports management brings his extensive experience in working with student athletes to Ripped Performance. His passion and desire is to work with the future generation and help them develop both physically and mentally with his training programs. He has mentored many students as a coach/trainer with various training companies in the area and through the Big Brothers & Big Sisters organization. Josh’s experience does not stop with the student athletes. He is well rounded and has experience in all facets of the fitness industry from leading a bootcamp to training an NFL athlete.

CLIFFORD “CLIFF” RUSSELL: PERFORMANCE COACH

Cliff Russell - Performance Coach, Personal Trainer

A former wide receiver in the National Football League, Cliff played 6 years and was a top draft pick for the Washington Redskins in 2002 because of his blazing speed (4.2 sec in the 40 yard sprint). As a professional athlete Cliff gathered the practical knowledge to train and compete.

Cliff holds many years of first hand training experience in the fitness, strength and conditioning industry. He is a National Strength and Conditioning certified trainer/ motivator/ Sprint coach/ Star of the popular online video Ripped Trainer.TV. Cliff is known and has consistently trained over the years, athletes in the NFL, D-I & D-II collegiate levels, CEO’s, and physicians, including those with special needs such as injuries, post and pre surgery.

Cliff incorporates a variety of training methods from strength training, football skill training, body sculpting and integrative stretching and mobility techniques. He believes a body that is physically, mentally and spiritually strong will be productive in all areas of life. Cliff gathered the practical knowledge to train and compete at the highest level. Cliff believes his purpose in life is to inspire and encourage others to reach their full potential and “Rise Above Average”. Cliff is alumni of University of Utah receiving a Bachelor of Science.

Cliff was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He resides in Ashburn VA, with his wife Leah, sons Ezra & Caleb and daughter Zion.

RANCE ‘RW’ MORTON: PERFORMANCE COACH

Rance Mortan Athletic Training and coach in Ashburn, Virginia

Rance Morton is a Coaching Assistant with Ripped Performance with supporting roles in Operations and Technology. Rance has always had a passion for fitness and people. Once certified through AFPA (American Fitness Professionals of America) in 2001, Rance began to work with individuals of all ages/levels at American Family Fitness Center in Richmond, VA. Rance focused on the athlete’s health history, and aided in goal setting and exercise prescription. This experience has helped Rance become a coach at Ripped. Prior to this, while in the U.S. Air Force, Rance was an Assistant Coach on an undefeated championship youth baseball team in Dover, DE. He also played several sports throughout his middle school and high school years (track, wrestling, and football). With background and experience in IT/Technical Support, Youth Mentorship (former Youth Development Advisor with AOI – Age of Innocence, a former youth-based community outreach organization), and Coaching, Rance brings a well-balanced approach to coaching athletes at all levels with his motivational and high-energy coaching style.


RASHARD ADAMS: PERFORMANCE COACH

Coach Rashard Adams is the newest member of the Ripped Performance Staff. His passion for fitness comes from his zeal for encouraging others and helping people reach their goals. If you walk into a training session you may notice that he loves active demonstration and will challenge his athletes throughout the workout. This is why his trademark attribute will be high energy and sweat. This style fits well with his high energy personality.

After overcoming constant injuries in Basketball Coach found success in Track and Field senior year at Stone Bridge High School. He believes that heart and determination can take you far but without core foundations such as strength, technique, and rhythm the skill gap will affect performance. Coach Adams developed a passion for good form and technique while watching childhood track and field legends Jeremy Wariner and Walter Dix dominate NCAA Nationals as well as watching Michael Johnson win the 1996 Olympics in the 400 and 200.

Coach continually learns from the best by working with his mentors and studying techniques of the best trainers. He has studied techniques from Dr. Yessis and Dr. Larry Van Such who gave him a firm understanding of how to build fast twitch muscle fibers through Isometric training.

JACOB GREENO: PERFORMANCE COACH

Coach Jacob Greeno is an energetic and motivated member of Ripped Performance. Mentored by Coach Cliff and Coach Josh, Jacob has been shadowing their training sessions to refine his coaching techniques. He enjoys supporting and motivating his clients to reach their goals and is determined to always find a solution to any obstacle they may face. Nothing is unattainable!

Jacob grew up in the Washington D.C. area. His passion for fitness started while being a part of Westfield Highschool’s football team where he realized he could elevate the performance of himself and others by designing workouts. From there he joined and became the President of the Radford University Rugby team where he excelled as both a leader and mentor. Jacob is passionate about helping others find a way to better themselves. He trained many fellow students at Radford and used his coaching mindset to lead the Radford Rugby team to new heights.

Ripped Performance Performance Coach for Athletic Development in Loudoun County Steven Grimes

Steven Grimes, a current football coach and former collegiate athlete with a background in sport management brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to Ripped Performance. He believes whole hardily in traditional values, hard work, focus, passion, respect, integrity and great character. His belief is that student athletes have always maintained the same goals and ideas regardless of their generation or specific situations and that it is his responsibility to keep them on a successful path. Steven has coached, trained and or mentored several athletes that have excelled on the field and in the classroom in college and high school winning athletic honors, All-Conference, All-State, All-American, the NFL Players Association Scholarship Award and the Outstanding Character Scholarship Award and in the classroom the Dean’s List, Presidents List and the US Government Academic Achievement Award. Several of these athletes have also reached the top of there profession playing professionally. Through all these successes Steven believes we must be able to teach young men and women how to succeed not just on the athletic field or court; but also in life: how to be a better brother/sister, son/ daughter, dad/mom, husband/wife, co-worker, and employee. Showing a player that I care not just through my words, but also through my actions.
